Welcome to the Hong Kong International Saxophone Symposium website! It has always been a dream of mine to be able to promote and forge ahead the classical saxophone image and education in Asia. In 2009, desiring to give back to my home city, Hong Kong, I created the first Hong Kong International Saxophone Symposium which attracted over 70 saxophonists from around the world to join the event.  In addition to myself, Eugene Rousseau and Claude Delange were the faculty members to 12 active participants from three continents.  With the tremendous success of the premiere event, we have formed the Hong Kong International Saxophone Society as part of an effort to facilitate more interest in saxophone performance as well as to continue hosting the symposium and other saxophone events to foster comradery among the now thriving saxophone communities in Hong Kong and elsewhere.  It is my sincere hope that along with my local and esteemed international colleagues, we would be able to play a small part in helping and encouraging Asian saxophonists in their pursuit of higher level of performance. 

This dream and organization would be impossible without the encouragement, commitment, and help of my long-time friend, Ms. Winnie Chiu. She has been working tirelessly as the main coordinator in Hong Kong for various events and I owe her a big "Thank you!".  I look forward to seeing all of you at future events and sharing all things saxophone!
